YachtFix Marine
From routine annual maintenance to complex technical projects, our yard provides a complete range of professional services tailored to the specific demands of recreational and charter yachts in the Mediterranean.
Hull integrity is the foundation of safe sailing. Our structural repair team handles osmotic blister treatment, gel coat restoration, fibre-reinforced plastic laminate repair, keel bolt inspection, and through-hull fitting replacement. Every project begins with a moisture-meter survey and visual inspection, producing a graded assessment of hull condition with prioritised recommendations. For antifouling campaigns, we prepare surfaces by high-pressure washing, sanding, and applying barrier coats before applying your chosen antifouling system. We work with all leading antifouling brands and can advise on the optimal product for your cruising area, vessel speed, and environmental considerations. Lifting, blocking, and cradle storage are all managed in-house at our secure yard facility.
Our propulsion workshop covers inboard diesels, outboard motors, saildrive and shaft-drive systems, and electric propulsion units. Scheduled servicing includes oil and filter changes, impeller and belt replacement, injector testing, and heat exchanger inspection. For deeper mechanical issues, we diagnose using marine-specific electronic diagnostic tools and carry out cylinder head work, turbo rebuilds, and gearbox overhauls as required. We are authorised service agents for several leading propulsion brands, ensuring warranty-compliant maintenance and access to OEM parts. Propeller repair, reconditioning, and balancing is carried out at our on-site machine shop. Post-service sea trials verify performance metrics against manufacturer specifications before any vessel is returned to the client.
Electrical faults are among the leading causes of fires and vessel losses at sea. Our MECP-qualified electricians systematically inspect and remedy wiring deficiencies, corrosion damage, overloaded circuits, and failing connections. We design and install complete 12V, 24V, and 230V systems, including battery banks, solar arrays, wind generators, shore power inlets, and inverter-charger systems. Our electronics team installs, integrates, and commissions navigation instruments, VHF and SSB radio, AIS transponders, chart plotters, autopilot systems, and entertainment suites. All work is documented with updated wiring diagrams and system schematics supplied to the owner. We partner with Garmin, Raymarine, B&G, Simrad, and Victron as preferred system integrators.
Standing and running rigging inspection and replacement is critical for offshore safety. Our rigging specialists conduct dye-penetrant tested swage inspections, rod rigging assessments, and full rig-down surveys. We supply and fit stainless steel wire, Dyneema, and rod rigging from leading manufacturers, tailored to your mast configuration and sailing profile. Deck hardware servicing covers winch strip-down and grease, sheet clutches, travellers, furling systems, and deck hatches. We also handle mast stepping and unstepping operations using our mobile crane, along with boom and spinnaker pole maintenance. Carbon fibre spars are assessed and repaired by specialist composite technicians. Clients receive a written rigging inspection report with replacement interval recommendations.
A yacht's interior should be as carefully maintained as its hull and mechanical systems. Our interior team handles teak and hardwood repairs, cabinetry refurbishment, sole replacement, and varnishing to professional finishes. We refurbish saloon seating, berth cushions, cockpit upholstery, and bimini covers using high-grade marine fabrics selected for UV and moisture resistance. Plumbing systems—freshwater, grey water, and holding tanks—are inspected, tested, and repaired with approved sanitation fittings. We also manage refrigeration servicing and galley equipment repair in partnership with specialist appliance technicians. All interior work is completed with care to minimise disruption to adjacent systems, and spaces are left clean and professionally finished on project completion.
Our annual maintenance contract provides yacht owners with a structured, predictable approach to vessel care. At the start of each season, our team conducts a full survey across all vessel systems—hull, engine, electrical, safety equipment, rigging, and interior—producing a prioritised maintenance schedule and cost estimate. Work is carried out methodically throughout the laid-up period, with progress updates at each stage and photographic records provided. Contract clients benefit from discounted workshop labour rates, priority scheduling for emergency work, and inclusion in our seasonal preparation package (antifouling, engine service, safety gear checks, sea trial). Annual programme clients also receive a free mid-season inspection to address any developing issues before they become costly problems. Long-term vessel condition is our shared objective.
